Case Study: Teams Recruitment Campaign

To redesign a previously corporate-feeling brochure into a more playful, engaging campaign that would better resonate with the organisation’s audience. The goal was to humanise each internal team, make the content approachable, and boost volunteer sign-ups through a cohesive print and event experience — including both brochures and environmental banners.

Objective: To create a visually engaging recruitment campaign designed to help each internal team attract new members while reinforcing a sense of identity and purpose. This included both a printed brochure and accompanying signage to support the organisation’s “Teams Fair”.

Creative Approach: I designed a series of custom typographic identities for each team, modifying the brand font in subtle yet expressive ways that reflected the role and personality of each department:

Welcome Team: The “O” became a smiley face to express friendliness and warmth
Production Team: The “T” resembled a soundboard fader — a nod to behind the scenes tech
Media: The “A” was styled as an eye, symbolising visual storytelling
Communication: The “A” was reimagined as a megaphone to represent outreach

Brand colors and hexagon-based visual assets were used throughout to ensure visual continuity with their brand guidelines.

Outcome: The campaign was praised for successfully shifting the tone from overly corporate to friendly, fun, and approachable — while still feeling polished and on-brand. Team leaders loved how each department’s personality was reflected in the visuals and reported a noticeable increase in volunteer sign-ups.
